The idea for the first print burst into my head and then I couldn’t stop myself from trying make it into a real thing. I imagined a dreamy poster that played with the scale of the ocean, from the tiny jellyfish to the largest whales, yet all in sync with each other.

Painting and drawing the mermaid was the most experimental part, I hadn’t pictured her face or pose when I first drafted the poster, and her peaceful expression emerged with time.

I love jellyfish (though I’d never want to see one in the water with me!) Their eerie dance is mesmerizing. This is actually a repeating pattern print, so that the jellyfish are endless.

The triple narwhal print was one time item I made by request for a special little boy who loved them.
