In terms of items and scene, I pulled different inspiration for this piece from many sources on the web. A great place to look in Pinterest and Apartment Therapy. This type of project brings together my love of illustration and interior design! I included many objects that fill me with excitement and wonder, binoculars, jarred words, mini plant lights, maps.

I knew from the beginning that I wanted the concept to be of a cat nonchalantly having knocked a plant off it’s spot as cats do. In the animation he’s also slowly beating up a stem in a jar. You can tell he will continue to do as he pleases.

This illustration was created using Procreate on the iPad, and the animation used the same program. We also converted the image to be an animated gif screensaver for our kitchen wall tablet (Surface Pro 2.0
